#BEAUTIFULIFE VLOG 12 – Tattoo Time (Again)

Yesterday I visited Lyle Tuttle tattoo shop in North Beach, San Francisco to get a tattoo (or two). It's been over two years since I got my last tattoo so I was long overdue. My friends Alanna and John picked me up and we had a full-on tattoo party at the shop, complete with beers (I don't drink beer but I had a sip lol) and tattoos all around. "Nowhere to go but everywhere" is from On the Road Again by Jack Kerouac. Even as a simple, standalone statement like that, out of context, I believe it's so fitting for me becaus[...]

Winter Is Here.

Posted In: BeautifuLife | Style
Staying warm during the holidays means embracing all the layers, textures, and fabrics that insulate and keep that precious body heat close. When you have a coat as warm as this faux fur collar, shearling lined, Game-of-Thrones-reminiscent piece from Asos, you don't even need sleeves underneath! So I styled it with my knitwear sleeveless turtleneck from Cotton On, and basic, perfectly fitted black jeans from Hudson Jeans. Topped it off with this beautiful angora/wool red beret from my favorite hat brand, Goorin Bro[...]

The Day I Met Some of the Richest People in the World.

I spent a little over 24 hours in D.C. the other week, and while I was there I met some of the richest people in the world. Luckily, they passed some of their good fortune on to me. But before I go on telling this story, let me preface it by saying that the word "rich" has a number of slightly varied definitions, but the only one I'm concerned about is #3, and even more specifically, the latter part of #3, according to Dictionary.com: Rich: adjective, richer, richest. 3.Β having wealth or valuable resources. I'm not reall[...]

Traveling in Style With Gabbiano Luggage.

I never thought I'd actually really care about what my luggage looked like, because for the most part, the only people who really see you when you travel are the TSA and airline workers - no need to impress there. But functionality, durability, and security have always mattered to me. Travel can be quite the hassle on its own, so the last thing I want or need is luggage that slows me down or is too easily accessible (and I've had both). Thanks to the heavy amount of traveling I've done this year, I've tested various si[...]

Arnelle x TravelChannel.com

This year has blown by and along the way, to my sincere surprise (I say this with all the humility in this heart of mine), I've somehow found myself living what might actually be something remarkably close to my best life. I'm not exactly sure how that came to be - it was a mixture of meeting the right people, dedicating myself wholeheartedly to my craft, asking the right questions, and being ready for opportunities that came while being hungry enough to create my own - but I can honestly say that no matter how hard I wo[...]

Tanner in Tanner Goods.

Posted In: Asia | BeautifuLife | Philippines | Style
It's pretty amazing when your freshly tanned skin color goes so well with the golden brown hues of the leather goods you are wearing, and it's even better when the name of the brand you are wearing speaks for both its products, and you (literally). This day in the Philippines I was wearing my Narrow Belt and Vanguard Saddle Bag, both in Saddle Tan by Tanner Goods (how appropriate right?). All of their leather goods are handcrafted, beautifully designed, and of the utmost quality; and I really commend the creative team be[...]
