#BEAUTIFULIFE VLOG 12 – Tattoo Time (Again)

Yesterday I visited Lyle Tuttle tattoo shop in North Beach, San Francisco to get a tattoo (or two). It's been over two years since I got my last tattoo so I was long overdue. My friends Alanna and John picked me up and we had a full-on tattoo party at the shop, complete with beers (I don't drink beer but I had a sip lol) and tattoos all around. "Nowhere to go but everywhere" is from On the Road Again by Jack Kerouac. Even as a simple, standalone statement like that, out of context, I believe it's so fitting for me becaus[...]

Traveling in Style With Gabbiano Luggage.

I never thought I'd actually really care about what my luggage looked like, because for the most part, the only people who really see you when you travel are the TSA and airline workers - no need to impress there. But functionality, durability, and security have always mattered to me. Travel can be quite the hassle on its own, so the last thing I want or need is luggage that slows me down or is too easily accessible (and I've had both). Thanks to the heavy amount of traveling I've done this year, I've tested various si[...]

I've begun taking photos of all the food I eat at restaurants and making note of all the venues I venture to (while trying to compile all of my old photos as well), because come 2016, as I said in my previous post, I'm building out other sections of my blog, one of them being the Travel section. The intention is to create a "WHEN IN" guide for every destination I travel to from here on out, so that if you ever decide to travel to the same place you can come back and reference them for things to do, food to eat, favorite pas[...]

But First.

I'm always in search of a great coffee shop in whatever areas I frequent. Aren't we all? I have my favorites in DTLA: Verve and The Classic. I have my favorite in Venice: Menottis. I have my favorites in other areas of SF: The Mill, Four Barrel, and Sightglass. And I'm so happy to say I now have my new go-to in the Sunset district of SF: Andytown Coffee Roasters. In classic coffee shop aestheticΒ with its own little twists, it's a blend of wood textures, white walls and cabinets, white brick, wired pendant lamps with exp[...]

I had the pleasure of attending/covering Urban Decay's #COLORUNLEASHED blogger event at Elysian LAΒ in celebration of their beautiful new VICE4 palette. It was an all-around successful event with fantastic ambiance and a great turnout. In attendance was an all-star roster of influential young women from beauty bloggers to DJ's to models. Scroll through the photos to see if any of your favorites were there! First 2 photos by Diane Abapo of Suspend Mag, the rest by yours truly. My photos will be up on their blog, so pls mak[...]

Spontaneous SF Evenings.

Yesterday evening was spent in wonderful company. My friends took me out for a delicious poke + wings dinner at Pa'ina (a belated bday get-together), because I was invited to a screening of The Intern at the Kabuki Theater right next door. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and very satisfying. Apparently Pa'ina has Wing Wednesdays,Β so wings are 25 cents a pop. How ridiculous is that?? If you ever go to this spot, make sure you get the Garlic Cilantro wings; they were definitely my favorite, though all were d[...]
