While Malta isn’t really colorful like so many other European countries, I find its primarily monochromatic aesthetic to be incredibly beautiful. You’ll find hints of Italian, British, and even a little French influence, but it’s this natural limestone-induced architecture that is the authentic and traditional Maltese feel that is indicative of the island’s heritage. Malta was the perfect destination to spend a quiet, romanticΒ New Year celebration, and I found the perfect dress. :)

The ladies typically opt for something like a sequined or metallic piece to make a statement on this festive day (I’ve definitely done it many times), but this year I simply wanted to complement my surroundings. This amazing (handmade) crocheted dress is the Alexis Dress by Flook the Label from their Isla Bonita collection. I grabbed a few more pieces from this collection that I’m excited to share because their clothes are gorgeous. This particular dress complements curves well, with little keyhole details in all the right places and a cutout back to top off its sexy silhouette. I keptΒ my accessories simple with my favorite purse from Fossil, these nude Mana heels from Nine West (they’re on sale right now!), and this gold choker that I found in a vintage shop. On my lips is Urban Decay‘s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Blackmail.
