Deserted.

‘Twas a good weekend for pictures.

This past weekend some friends and I spontaneously decided to do a quick weekend trip to Joshua Tree/Palm Springs/The Do Over at the Ace Hotel. We left early Saturday, checked into our hotel upon arrival, then headed straight to Joshua Tree, where we ventured to the Wonderland Wash and Barker Dam hiking trails. Very different, but both gorgeous in their own ways. The weather was immaculate, and I swear Joshua tree is one of the only places in the world where you can go and feel like you’re the only one(s) there. If I could offer any suggestions for favorite destinations, Joshua Tree is definitely in my top 3. My advice: GO. It’s such a special place for me. It’s serene, it’s quiet, it’s surreal, the scenery is remarkable, the night sky is unmatched, and you feel like you’re on another planet. Seriously. That night, we headed to the local saloon for dinner and drinks, then went back to the hotel to end the night with shots, music, and inspirational conversation.

The next morning we got ready, went back to Joshua Tree to the Jumbo Rocks trail to snap the amazing photos you may have seen recently posted in theΒ Portfolio and Photos sections here on my site, and then headed to the Do Over to party and dance the rest of the day away.

It was an insanely fun, creative, productive, inspiring weekend for us; and for lack of a better word: epic. Weekends like this need to happen more often. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. Most were snapped by the talented Andrew Rose, the rest taken either by myself or Megan.

Awesome photos. I tried to make it out to the Do Over since i was quite close attending Coachella. Unfortunately day drinking and an excessive amount of walking put me out. I’ll have to check out Joshua Tree another day.

Hoang! Thank you! It definitely would have been nice to see you guys but we all know how those day drinking parties go lol. Joshua Tree is absolutely worth the trip. Let me know when you plan to take it and I’ll probably meet you guys.
