What better way to embrace being surrounded by the earth and its elements than to adorn yourself excessively in its elements as well? Stacking metals, bone, and stones were a running theme for me in the desert of Palm Springs during Coachella, and I loved layering all the different textures while keeping my color palette fairly neutral, with small pops of color like the one on my lips. This Crushing Hearts Striped Maxi Skirt from Tobi was perfect for beating the heat because of its breathable fabric and high slits (and the way it flows is gorgeous). The awesome thing about this Faith & Lace Tanya Crop Top is you can either make it really feminine and dainty, or you can edge it up. I chose to edge it up with the chunky, bold, sharp accessories. I wore it with my Bri Bri B-Low the Belt waist belt, and a bone necklace from Rwanda, Africa, stacked under my James Ballchain necklace by Martine Ali. The metal bracelets are also by Martine Ali, the beads are my Mala Beads from Humanity Unified, and the woven ones are collected from around the world. All rings are by Young Frankk, Androgyny Design, Stunner Collective, and also collected from around the world. Watch by Fossil, and the sandals are my favorite, the suede Fiddles from Alias Mae. On my lips is Urban Decay’s Comfort Matte Lipstick in Tilt – in my opinion, one of the best lip colors for Summer. Hair by SF Hair Braiding.
