Remember when I announced that my photo book "TRINIDAD & TOBAGO: Who Said Turning 30 Was a Bad Thing?" in partnership with Blurb Books was finally ready and available for sale? Well now I'm sharing my next #BEAUTIFULIFEHACKS video where I discuss my bookmaking experience and the amazing platform that is Blurb BooksΒ (@BlurbBooks), empowering fellow creatives to put their work into something tangible. I couldn't be happier with mine and I deeply suggest you check them out and make one of your own - whether it be for y[...]

Cozy Gal.

Nothing like this Romwe Sherpa Lined Lapel Jacket to keep you warm even on these uncharacteristically cold SF/LA nights this Winter! With how chilly it's been lately, when I'm wearing almost any other jacket I usually have to layer up and wear a hooded zip-up. There's definitely no need with this one. I can throw it on over any blouse, add a scarf or shemagh, and walk out the door without giving it any further thought. Wearing a black Cotton On long sleeve blouse, black Hudson Jeans, a black belt, and my off-white[...]

New Year New ‘Do.

The New Year called for a change in hair color to visually represent a transition I feel I'm going through in terms of personal taste, perspective, and life in general. Thanks to Tiffany Bernard (@tiffygotsthis) at Union Salon South I was able to transition back to a darker hair color while still keeping it unique. I told her I wanted a dark steel gray and she came up with this beautiful gunmetal gray with hints of blue on the spot. If you're in the LA area and you're looking for a really talented colorist to reviv[...]

Not-So-Lazy Sundaze.

Today we woke up at 5am to start shooting a special project by 6amΒ in the hopes that we could get it done before the rest of Los Angeles started waking up. Turns out that singing, skateboarding bums are awake at that hour. So are security guards on the lookout for trespassers. And then shortly after that, all the construction workers as well. Lol. Anyway, being up and actively on your feet at that hour on a Sunday definitely calls for sweats, a white tee (albeit with a knot so you look somewhat pulled together), a bedh[...]

Lightly Falling.

Posted In: BeautifuLife | Style
I've always felt like lighter colors were still Fall appropriate, especially neutral light colors. I'm moved back to SF now but I think a part of me still feels like I'm in LA, so despite the colder climate I was walking around in a sheer button-up and open toed shoes - luckily it was a gorgeous afternoon in the city so I held up alright. This outfit really brought out the lavender in my hair, and it was a lot of fun to play with! I'm wearing a vintage long vest, a Zara button-up, Hudson boyfriend jeans, Nine WestΒ[...]

This is my first step into leaning out my wardrobe. I got rid of everything with bright colors, and kept only a few pieces with deeper colors and patterns/designs on them. I love this outfit because it comes off minimalist and simplistic, but when you really look at it thereΒ are several details to observe. The excessive zipper details on this Hudson Jeans Moto Jacket, the distressing on these white Hudson Jeans, the added collar detail on this Hudson Jeans black button-up blouse, the camo bandana that I got from[...]
