#BEAUTIFULIFE Vlogumentary 2 – Rwanda With Humanity Unified.

I'm really excited to share this video as it is our second Vlogumentary (our series of videos that are hybrids between vlogs and mini-documentaries), and it highlights very real impact Humanity Unified has made, and the visible progress of the community we work with as a result. This past trip felt different from my first 2 because it was clear that by that point the women knew we were there to stay. They knew by then that we truly have their well-being in mind, and it showed in their warm greetings, their bright smil[...]

“The Power of Imagery.”

This 1-minute piece is Emil's entry into the Sony's competition for the FS7 ii, and the top 10 videos with the most views/likes will then move forward to be judged for content quality. In other words, your views, likes, and re-shares would mean the world! During our time in Rwanda with Humanity Unified a couple weeks ago, Emil made this beautiful 1-minute mini documentary about The Power of Imagery and its ability to transport someone from their couch or seat to the ground in Rwanda so that they, too, can be as insp[...]

A Little Birthday Reflection.

Today I spent my 31st birthday in the service of others, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. In my time working in Kigali, Rwanda with Humanity Unified, I’ve learned many things - about the living conditions in this country, the history that defines it, and most importantly, the state of its inhabitants as a result of the incredibly unfortunate incidents that happened years ago. When I come here I am repeatedly faced with the hard reality that not only are the people who live in poverty here complete[...]

In Other Words, Faith.

PREFACE: Yes, this post has a preface. It's a long one. But hopefully, it's one you'll find worth the read. 2016 has really begun to unfold into something unlike anything I could have ever imagined. I had traveled a decent amount before this year but definitely incomparable to the amount of travel I've done in just the first quarter of 2016. We all know travel teaches you volumes about the world, but what is equally fascinating is how much it teaches you about yourself. When you've spent a fair amount of time visiting va[...]

#BEAUTIFULIFE VLOG 10 – RWANDA, AFRICA & HUMANITY UNIFIED – Brought to You By Blurb

It’s here! My vlog from Rwanda, Africa that highlights Humanity Unified, our time there and the work we did (plus additional bonus footage from the safari we went on) is FINALLY here, and I’m so thrilled to share it. I had an incredible first time there and it was definitely one of my most personally fulfilling trips. Not only did I meet incredibly inspiring people but I learned so much about the country and its past, and how it so heavily dictates its current economic state. Through this trip I made connections with n[...]

Bold Class.

Bold and classy aren't mutually exclusive; you can show a decent amout of skin and still maintain a sense of class and refinement (at least in my opinion). It's all about the balance of exposure and coverage, and this jumpsuit does that really well. Here I'm wearing my pinstripe jumpsuit from Tobi paired with my Alias Mae suede sandals. I offset the exposed chest with this beautiful statement necklace from Rose Gypsy along with my shell choker, and topped it off with my straw woven fedora from Venice, my Fossil wat[...]
