#BEAUTIFULIFE Vlogumentary 2 – Rwanda With Humanity Unified.

I'm really excited to share this video as it is our second Vlogumentary (our series of videos that are hybrids between vlogs and mini-documentaries), and it highlights very real impact Humanity Unified has made, and the visible progress of the community we work with as a result. This past trip felt different from my first 2 because it was clear that by that point the women knew we were there to stay. They knew by then that we truly have their well-being in mind, and it showed in their warm greetings, their bright smil[...]

“The Power of Imagery.”

This 1-minute piece is Emil's entry into the Sony's competition for the FS7 ii, and the top 10 videos with the most views/likes will then move forward to be judged for content quality. In other words, your views, likes, and re-shares would mean the world! During our time in Rwanda with Humanity Unified a couple weeks ago, Emil made this beautiful 1-minute mini documentary about The Power of Imagery and its ability to transport someone from their couch or seat to the ground in Rwanda so that they, too, can be as insp[...]

One of the best quotes I’ve ever come across …

Took an eerily accurate personality test a few days ago, and found out I'm an ENFP-A. Also then came across this quote, and I can't tell you how perfectly timed its introduction into my life was. It summed up every single emotion I was feeling in that very moment; the passion, the fire, the heartache and homesickness that comes with any turning point in life, the love, both new and old, the fear ... everything. "It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for - and if you dare to dream of m[...]

To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving; To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy; To return home at eventide with gratitude; And then to sleep with a[...]

No Time Wasted

A long distance relationship is, by no means, an easy feat. LA to SF is probably the shortest legitimate "long distance relationship" possible, and trust me, it's still hard. Of course, Zach and I took this into consideration when we got together. We countered the feelings of difficulty by saying things like, "this will be good for us because it'll allow us the time/space to still focus on ourselves and our careers" and "this just means we'll always be really excited to see one another, and we'll never get tired of one a[...]

Love is the Destination.

Prefacing note: every time I write "he", I'm referring to my boyfriend. His name is Zach. Writing this blog entry is important to me because it's the first of many that I'll write in love, and love usually keeps me very inspired. I'm not sure who I might hurt by writing this, but at this point it doesn't really matter, and authenticity is paramount. read more[...]
